Appreciating Hawaii, The Place I Call Home

Why is it that many people think of Hawaii as the perfect location both for a vacation and to reside in?

Being born and raised in Hawaii, I have thought about the above question more than a few times. It was not until I traveled abroad that I realized how great these islands really are. Like every where else, life in Hawaii has its ups and downs, but altogether I have come to appreciate the place that I call home.

Everybody Has A Cousin In Guanaja!

Jimmy Buffet once sang a song that said that said, everybody has a cousin in Miami. Well, I just came into Guanaja Honduras via the ferry, or the “yacht”, as some call it, and I would swear that everybody has a cousin in Guanaja!

The Island Tours leaves from Trujillo, on the coast of Honduras on Sunday afternoon. Sometimes the ferry leaves at 1:00pm and then sometimes at 3:00pm. It depends on the mood of the Captain. The lady selling coconut bread comes on board to sell her wares before the ship leaves port so you do not go away hungry! This is Honduras, folks and you just never know what will happen next!

Do You Give Yourself Credit?

Once upon a time, not too long ago, my husband thought I had too many credit cards - especially for clothing shops and department stores. John thought having so many credit cards could discredit our credit.

I charged salon services, movie tickets and luncheons with friends - which seem to cost more than lunches. Anyway … John thought the only thing I couldn’t buy on credit was happiness.

A Guide To Breaks And Holidays In The Uk

It is almost considered the norm nowadays for people to take time out from their daily routine to experience perhaps a back-packing adventure around the world, or a trip to Australia for a year.

Indeed, the majority of holiday goers venture abroad. The attractions are obvious: guaranteed sunshine, golden sandy beaches and cheap beer.

It’s fair to say that the UK tourist industry finds it difficult to complete: if asked when they last had a holiday in the UK, substantial numbers of holidaymakers, many of whom would probably consider themselves well-travelled, might be left scratching their heads.

Ultimate Disney Water Park - Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach is a wet adventure that is unmistakably Disney. The 66-acre water park, has a major claim to fame: Summit Plummet, the nation’s tallest, fastest free-fall slide, starts at 120 feet in the air. Blizzard Beach opened in April 1995, and is a spectacular water park. Blizzard Beach is quite a bit bigger than Typhoon Lagoon.
