Free Tips To Help People To Quit Smoking
Smoking in no longer seen as cool, it is becoming ever more expensive and there is an ever increasing amount of evidence that suggests that nicotine is one the biggest health risks for today’s society. There has never been a better time to quit smoking and in this article I will be giving free tips which I hope will help you to have a cigarette free life.
I have successfully managed to kick the habit of smoking and it has now been sixteen months since I last smoked a cigarette. It was very difficult to quit and I only succeeded after a number of failed attempts.
Around two years ago, I was quite fortunate to meet a number of people who had quit smoking at a stop smoking group that I attended. I was given some superb advice from these people and I would strongly recommend other people to attend such a group.
Part of the advice was to write a couple of lists, one was a list of what you would buy with the additional money that you would have by stopping smoking. The second was the reasons for quitting in the first place.
I completed these two lists and showed them to an ex-smoker called Pete. He soon added more to the lists and the whole task made me very determined to quit.
I actually spent two hundred pounds a month on cigarettes, over a whole year this equates to £2400. That would pay for two family holidays, I suddenly felt quite guilty, this apparently was a good sign.
I am so thankful to have had the courage to attend this group and for all of their support, my only regret is that I did not attend far earlier.
