Road Rage - 8 Pointers On Provoking Road Rage
You may be surprised to discover how your driving could play a role in inviting the road rager to go after you full force.
Although we think of a vehicle as being the weapon, it is not always that way. Perhaps they do not want to crunch a fender or break a tail light; but they do want to get even with you for some real or imagined offense. Many come armed with guns, knives, car jacks, pepper spray, acid, and an evil, diabolical mind. And they will not stop at the curb. You are not safe in your own driveway or at a supermarket parking lot.
Here are just a few of the acts that you might commit that could trigger the “rage:”
1.You cut in front of someone without using your turn signal.
2.Your temper up, you toss them the Bird when they cut you off or tail-gait you.
3.You forget how ugly it makes you look, and you make annoyed/annoying faces.
4.You squeal tires and spurt ahead as the light changes because you want to be in their lane to make a turn.
5.You find yourself drifting into their lane because you are totally engrossed in a cellphone conversation or changing stations or drinking coffee, while reaching for a donut.
6.You follow them after some of their raging behavior and pull up behind them in a gas station to tell them off.
7. You pull onto the highway in front of them and then slow down.
8.You blow your horn several times to encourage them to move on.
None of these things are criminal in nature, but to a road rager, they are actions that “demand” revenge.
Most of the time you will get away with these actions, but if once, it’s a road rager you have encountered, it could be fatal. Don’t take a chance. Courtesy ALWAYS pays.
